May Days in Redwood City, CA
May Days in Redwood City, CA
Hello everyone!
May finally arrived here to Redwood City, CA! It is super hot around here and I got a cold for a week and a half but I enjoyed having her around.
Here is what she came with:
Tons of clothes from everyone! (I added some too, but not pictured)
5 dogs! (The 6th one came in the mail the other day)
She will be traveling around with Motoko (my Momoko) in this lovely new green leather bag!
I had a cold last week, so the pictures were a bit slow. Those were from last week before I got sick. More pictures will come soon!

Going to where no doll has gone before
Today May had quite an adventure: She went to a shooting range!
My husband and I have a shooting hobby besides dolls, computers and minis. We know like the local guys by name, so we took her to meet the gang so to speak and look at the shiny loud things!
She enjoyed watching people since she is too small to actually hold anything.
May didn't like the place though. Too messy for her taste.
I was not the only one with a camera. Everyone else has a camera of some sorts. Heck, this guy is taping everything!
May is most amused at this guy here. This guy has a .50 caliber revolver that kept on missing the paper. It just makes loud booming noises.
May is going to Santa Cruz, CA tomorrow. Maybe we would go to Monterey, who knows...
I have one Momoko; Let's see how long that lasts.

Thank you everyone! I am glad that you guys like those pictures even though they didn't come out right. I was kind of afraid to drop her around a shooting range or get her full of gunpowder, if you know what I mean.

Oh waow, May has accumulated quite a wardrobe and adopted so many cute doggies in her travels!
Desparately wanted: Momoko Ver.03ANsp!
I took May to my graduation in Santa Cruz, CA. Before graduation rehearsal, I gave May a little tour to my UCSC:
May in front of the student lounge
May glaring at the Bay tree bookstore, the most expensive store in the whole university. Unfortunately, it is also the only book store that sells textbooks around the area.
Random spray paint art.
I took May to my first dorm! I didn't go up though because it was moving out day, but I showed her around and she likes the trees.
May in front of the nasty fountain in front of the dining hall
Picture of said dining hall. We all used to call it the cure for constipation.
This is Banana Joe's, also known as the paid version of the dining hall. It used to serve pizza and what not but now apparently it is being converted to serve Asian food and a convenience store. I don't think it is a convenience store if it closes at 9.
May taking a short break in the grass
Showing off to May the new buildings built for the humanities majors. This one was finished in Winter 2007. I didn't have any classes in it though other than a lecture with the guy who translated Astro Boy comics.
This is the history major's new office building. They have other majors in there, but it is mostly occupied by the history professors.
I hope you enjoyed the tour!

And here are the graduation pictures! Sorry there weren't that many but you can see the rest of them on my flickr: http://flickr.com/photos/gamekitty
This is the tent where the people were sitting. It sits 3000+ people. This was taken before the actual graduation.
In reality, my graduation is what we SF folks call fogland. My husband called it the twilight graduation.
My husband and I after the ceremony
My brother, May, and I
Since we got up around 5 in the morning for graduation (we drove 2 hours to Santa Cruz from San Francisco; ceremony is at 9 in the morning)... -_- We are all pretty tired afterwards. My husband and May shared a drink together though, and I snapped it before he noticed ;)

Congrats on your graduation! It's nice to see pics of UCSC again; I haven't been there since the late 80's when my then bf almost went there.
May looks right at home on campus.

Great that you brought May with you
The picture with May and your husband is my favourite. I'm sure this Flickr group would like to have it : Man and Dolls

Thank you everyone! I didn't want to walk but I walked for my dad's Father's Day gift. Now my husband is blushy about taking pictures with May.
Tammy: UCSC changed a bunch since I last was there and I left there a year ago, let alone since the 80s, although I am sure the hippyness never leaves.
ivylattice: May also went to a grad student party too, but I didn't take pics because everyone was too busy getting drunk and doing stupid things. No losing May over drunk grad students :P
